Well Being Workshops

Well Being Workshops

"It was very helpful
to control mood
and gave me more confidence
to solve problems."

Mental well being describes your mental state - how you are feeling and how well you can cope with day-to-day life.  Everyone faces challenges in life. How we deal with big or difficult challenges will be different for each of us, and we all know what it’s like to feel drained and struggling to cope.

Well being workshops build on your strengths and increase your resilience.  This can help us to meet the challenges we all encounter from time to time. There is good evidence that a range of simple actions are strongly linked to people feeling happier and more satisfied with their lives. Resilience is about knowing that there are actions you can take that will build up your health and well being and then doing something about it yourself – taking small steps to living well.

Our workshops aim to give people practical tools to help maintain good mental health and well being.

Building Self Compassion

Research has shown that self-compassion can help improve our emotional well-being, improve our ability to cope with life’s challenges, lower levels of anxiety and depression, promote healthy habits such as diet and exercise, and lead to more satisfying personal relationships.

Building self-compassion can completely change how we relate to ourselves. It is easy to meet our imperfections and challenges with self-blame and self-criticism, but this gets us nowhere and often makes things worse.  When we can bring a kind and mindful attention to our experiences (thoughts, emotions, and feelings) and a sense of love and care to ourselves, it is easier to cope through hard times. With practise, we can strengthen skills to build self-compassion and kindness to improve emotional well-being and build resilience.
