Projects

We have successfully secured funding for a number of projects in Manchester.
We have also provided services to a range of organisations in Manchester.
Our services include training and consultation, advice and support.

Breaking the Silence:
Equality Matters Project

Reinventing Success and Catholics for AIDS Prevention and Support (CAPS) have been funded to deliver a new project for women living with HIV (WLHIV) in Greater Manchester.

The project involves leadership skills building and drama workshops to create an educative online drama resource for health and social care providers.

WLHIV will be empowered to develop skills to enable them protect their rights, build resilience, influence policies and challenge discriminatory practices in health and social care settings.

Manchester Wellbeing For Women

Reinventing Success' project aims to increase resilience amongst women, minimise discriminatory practices and increase mental health support.

We are delivering awareness raising sessions with women experiencing poor mental health. There are 12 sessions which include awareness raising, empowerment, developing resiliency skills such as problem solving, and creative ways to challenge stigma and discrimination.

Supported by Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust through the Manchester Wellbeing Fund

Breaking the Silence Research

Reinventing Successes is passionate about building the strength and confidence of Women Living With HIV (WLWHIV) so that they can develop skills to enhance their confidence, and resilience and be able to advocate for their rights.

We believe when women are empowered they can become the agents of change, educate their communities and be able to challenge all forms of stigma and discrimination they face.

Manchester Voices of Community and Faith Leaders

Reinventing Success is working to advance HIV prevention efforts in the migrants of BAMER communities that are highly affected by the HIV epidemic. This is done through training, information sharing, collaboration and partnerships between community and faith leaders, health care and social services in Greater Manchester.

First Steps Project

The First Steps programme was designed to give community groups the freedom to develop action plans to improve their neighbourhood.

Reinventing Success developed an action plan around the mental and economic well being of residents in areas of South Manchester. We engaged with residents and local organisations and companies to find out about current levels of well being, and explore ways to raise well being and further develop resiliency.  Knowledge and information from this project is used to provide evidence for further projects aiming at raising mental health and well being.

Awards for All Project

Empowerment and Confidence building Courses
Reinventing Success ran three courses with people from Black and Minority Ethnic communities who were unemployed and/or had mental health difficulties.

We undertook a piece of needs research to identify key concerns, how changes in local services and benefits are affecting people and their aspirations and motivation for gaining skills and work.
